Blob (EIP-4844)
A blob is a large data payload attached to an Ethereum block, introduced by EIP-4844 so rollups can publish transaction data cheaply. Blobs have their own fee market separate from regular gas and are pruned by nodes after roughly 18 days, which is long enough for anyone to reconstruct rollup state or raise a challenge.
