Prediction market
A prediction market trades contracts that pay out according to the outcome of a future event, so prices can be read as the market's implied probability. The hard problems are resolution, meaning who decides what happened and how disputes are settled, and regulation, since the same contract can look like a derivative, a binary option, or a wager depending on jurisdiction.
