Fee switch
A fee switch is a governance-controlled parameter that redirects part of a protocol's fees, often from liquidity providers, to the treasury or token holders. Turning it on converts a governance token into a claim on cash flows, which raises questions about liquidity retention, legal classification, and who ultimately pays.
